Donut growers have grown up with a lot of uncertainty.
In the UK, there is a strong appetite for new varieties and new flavours, but it has been a long time since anyone really expected a new breed of coffee to appear in the UK.
But Donut Growers Association executive director Michael Smith has no illusions.
“It is the most exciting time for coffee growing, because the UK market is really exploding,” he said.
“Donut is a great example of that, where we are growing all these new varieties.
“We are seeing people ordering the Donuts and we are seeing lots of people buying the Donats as well. “
We have a huge market opportunity.” “

In the US, there are some new Donuts coming out every year, and many are coming out in coffee styles including coffees with hints of vanilla, chocolate, and other flavours.
“This year is definitely going to be another strong year for coffee growers in the US,” said Mr Smith.
“I am excited about what’s coming next.”
